This publication has been produced as part of the international DEAF-VOC Leonardo da Vinci language competence project funded by the European Union.

The booklet is divided into three sections:

• Sign Language as a Mother Tongue curriculum
• Written Language as a Second Language for the Deaf curriculum
• Teacher´s Guide

The main objective of the DEAFVOC project is to promote equal educational
opportunities for deaf people through development of language teaching for sign language and teaching of written language for deaf students
in vocational education and training: “Towards a Society for All”.
